Designs Amendment Bill

The Designs Amendment (Advisory Council On Intellectual Property Response) Bill 2020 was read in Parliament on 2 December 2020.

If passed, the new law will introduce a new 12 month grace period for design registration, simplify the registration process and enable exclusive licensees to bring infringement proceedings. Further information can be found here.
